My name is John and I’m one of the Partner’s at Mint Home Care. For many years, I have been the primary caregiver for my elderly mother and handicapped brother. Like many family caregivers, I learned how challenging — yet deeply meaningful — that role can be. I have experienced the long days, sleepless nights, and the constant balancing act between compassion and exhaustion. But I also see the difference that kindness, patience, and quality care can make in someone’s life.
Through this experience, I realized that excellent home care isn’t just about helping with daily tasks — it’s about preserving dignity, respect, and independence. In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, political podcasts and hanging out with my wife, Linda and kids, Mira and Kiran. I recently seem to have been recruited for pet sitting of my daughter’s puppy Daschund,Espresso and my son’s cat, Asher.
At Mint Home Care, our mission is to improve lives by providing compassionate, personalized in-home support that empowers individuals to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. From services such as companion care and personal care, to hospital-to-home transitions and 24-hour support, we tailor each care plan to meet unique needs and honour each person’s preferences. My own caregiving journey gave me a firsthand understanding of the importance of a caregiver who not only assists with bathing, dressing, meals and mobility, but also preserves a sense of comfort and independence.
That is why I am proud to be a part of Mint Home Care, our approach mirrors that same purpose: providing experienced, compassionate caregivers who become part of the family’s support team, helping both the individual and their loved ones thrive.
